Charity Regatta


CharityRegatta2018aPlease join us on Sunday, August 26, 2018 for a day of relaxing boating, friendship, food and fun as we celebrate the 34th Erie Yacht Club Charity Regatta, which benefits the American Red Cross of Northwestern PA. This year’s event will continue to feature a five-mile sailboat race, live music, great food and drink, ducky races and an auction.

This year’s event will feature a new flat rate, all-inclusive pricing structure. Individual boats may enter the event for a fixed price of $350, which includes 5 wristbands - one for the captain and four for the crew. The wristbands provide admission to the event, beverages and a buffet lunch. Additional wristbands may be purchased for $25 each.
We have also expanded our sponsor levels to include a Fleet Sponsor. Fleet Sponsors will be recognized on the event’s advertising and promotional materials, offered complimentary table top exhibition space during the event, be permitted to enter up to four boats in the event, and will be entered in the inaugural Commodore’s Challenge. The Commodore’s Challenge is a competition among the Fleet Sponsors. Each Fleet Sponsor will be assigned a fleet of racing sailboats (assignments will be based on PERF ratings). The fleet with the lowest, aggregate adjusted times for the race will win the challenge. Prizes will be awarded to the fleet sponsor for of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place fleets.

  • Boat Sponsor $ 350
  • Kayak, Jet Ski $ 50

All proceeds directly benefit local American Red Cross disaster relief efforts. Did you know...

  • That $1,000 provides food and shelter for a family of 4 for 5 days following a disaster;
  • Over 4,150 smoke alarms have been installed in Erie County homes by Red Cross volunteers;
  • Most American Red Cross disaster relief assistance is provided to uninsured families.

The American Red Cross is registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and Contributions to the are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law (tax ID is: 53-0196605). A receipt letter will be provided after the Regatta to acknowledge the tax-deductible portion of your sponsor fee.
